Slack tide is a short period of time when the water in a body of tidal water is unstressed and there is no movement in the tidal stream. It occurs when the tide changes direction and the current ceases.

I named this piece “Slack Tide” because it felt like the perfect way to describe the state I was in when I created it. Instead of giving in to the push and pull of various projects, I let myself pause and take a creative breath to see what happened. This piece is what came of it.
